The Knoydart is one of the last wild spaces in the UK, exploring it by kayak is an extra special experience. Touring around the wild and remote coast of Knoydart is truly one of Scotland’s most unforgettable maritime adventures. Known as one of the last great wildernesses in Britain, the Knoydart offers dramatic scenery, rugged mountains, and hidden sea lochs, all only accessible by boat or a long hike.

We guide you through these sheltered waters so you can keep your eyes peeled for seals basking on rocks, sea eagles soaring overhead, and perhaps even dolphins playing in the distance. Whether you’re here for the raw beauty, rich history, or the peace and quiet only the sea can bring, the Knoydart coastline never disappoints.

The expedition is designed to be a safe and fun adventure in a rugged wilderness, each stage is planned to ensure we see as much of the area as possible. We carry all of our provisions with us and are self sufficient for the entire trip. If you are looking for the perfect trip for Autumnal rewilding, then this is it!

We choose our wild camping spots carefully to ensure we reduce impact, using established sites, taking waste with us and ensuring we follow the principals of Leave No Trace.

Camping

During the trip we stop at 4 awesome wild camping sites. This gives you the opportunity to get away from it all and get back to nature. Because many of the sites are not dedicated camping sites, it is important we camp responsibly and preserve as much of the natural environment as possible.

If you are unsure of what type of tent solution to use, contact us to discuss your needs. We may be able top help in providing some basic lightweight gear.

Food and Cooking

During this trip we cater for evening meals for the group and provide coffee, tea and hot water in the morning for all clients. Breakfasts are self catered as are lunches, however we do provide toasting presses for making hot sandwiches and hot water at lunch times.

Kit hire

We can discuss kit choices for the expeditions in preparation for the trip, however we do have some items that can be rented from us. We can provide a limited number of kayaks and equipment if you are commuting by train/plane.
